MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT 

As at March 2024

Chocolate Box Training is owned and operated under Sleaping Giant Pty Ltd (ABN: 96 607 326 036, trading as Chocolate Box Training, Motus Health & Performance, Chocolate Box Films). This is an Agreement under which you agree to become a member of Chocolate Box Training.

 

Important Definitions:

• "You" or "your" refers to anyone accessing and ready this website. 
• "We", "our", "us", "CBT" refers to Chocolate Box Training. 
• "Motus" refers to Motus Health & Performance. 
  
  

1. Safety – You agree to give us all relevant health and fitness information before performing any exercise in our facility. Each time you use our gym you must ensure you are in good physical condition and know of no medical (or other) reason why you should not exercise. 
   
   
2. Minimum Term Agreement - To ensure you get the most out of your membership, the lock in period for all new members is 26 financial weeks. Note, there is no minimum term agreement required for Motus Group Rehab memberships, due to the nature of the activity. 
   
   
3. If you wish to make a change to your membership package, you must provide a minimum of 10 days notice. These requests should be made via email to hello@chocolateboxtraining.com.
   
   
4. If you are an Unlimited member with access to HOT Recovery, the following terms apply:
   - “Unlimited Plus” $89 and Athlete $129 members have access to 1x HOT Recovery session per week. You have a choice of a double suite or a single suite. If you are using the sauna solo, then you must book a single suite. If you are sweating it out with a mate, then please book a double suite.
   - “Unlimited Plus” $109 members have access to 2x HOT Recovery sessions per week. Please follow the booking etiquette outlined above.

5. Etiquette for Body Composition Scans:
   5.1 Unlimited Plus and Athlete members have unlimited access to InBody Composition Scans. You must check in with reception prior to your scan. It is important to note that clients who have a scheduled appointment will get priority. 
   
   
6. Putting your Membership on Hold - If we agree, you may freeze your Membership for travel, medical or hardship reasons but must give proof. We do not hold memberships for laziness or lack of motivation. We hold for a maximum 4 weeks for holidays (if travelling for longer, please supply documentation); injury hold for a maximum of 8 weeks and pregnancy hold for a maximum 12 weeks (however, we will take into account on a case by case basis). Those on weekly membership payments must give 10 days notice. Fortnightly payments must give 3 weeks notice and monthly payments must give 6 weeks notice. All requests must be sent via email to hello@chocolateboxtraining.com.  
   
   
7. Cancellations – You can cancel your membership within the Minimum Term Agreement, but the remainder of the minimum weekly charges will not be reimbursed. You can choose to pay out your remaining weeks or transfer them to a friend or family member. Cancellation of memberships outside the Minimum Term Agreement can be made. Allow 10 days’ notice via email to hello@chocolateboxtraining.com for any cancellations to your account.
   
   
8. Insufficient Funds – Your bank or credit provider may charge you an overdraw fee for insufficient funds. You may also incur an administration fee of $5.00 AUD. 
   
   
9. Infractions - Any dishonours caused by the member will incur a $5.00 AUD fee.
   
   
10. Late Fees - A $3 AUD late cancellation or no show fee will be applied for STRONG and SWEAT. A late fee of $15 AUD will be charged for a no-show or if not checked into (in the building) 5 minutes prior to the start of any Reformer Pilates Class. You must cancel out of class or remove yourself from waitlist 2hrs before start class time. Please note, an additional administration charge may be charged based on payment method by our third-party biller (MINDBODY/Stripe).  
    
    
11. Transaction fees: A transaction fee of $0.69 applies to all membership debits. Note there is an additional transaction fee of 1.39% +$0.25 for all payments processed using credit card (including AMEX). These fees are automatically applied to your account upon each transaction and are not covered by Chocolate Box Training.  
    
    
12. Changes to method of payment must be made directly at Reception or via email to hello@chocolateboxtraining.com. Please note that changing payment details on the CBT App does not update on our system.
    
    
13. Some inbound and outbound phone calls are recorded for quality and training purposes. These call recordings are listened to by the senior management team only, and not shared further. If you do not wish to have your call recorded and kept, let us know. 
    
    
14. Personal Hygiene - Towel use is compulsory for health reasons. 
    
    
15. Gym Attire - We encourage you to train with a shirt on. 
    
    
16. Gym Etiquette - This is your gym, so be sure to put away any weights or equipment back to its proper location and be mindful of any noise you might create when training.
    
    
17. Drop In Session - only available to visitors + non-local residents above 18 years. Can be purchased via the Chocolate Box Training App or online timetable. Must be used within 7 days from the date of purchase. If you fail to show up to your booked class, you will forfeit your pass. 
    16.1 Drop In Session = $35 AUD
    
    
18. Drop In Week - only available to first-time visitors + non-local residents above 18 years. Can be purchased via the Chocolate Box Training App or online timetable. Must be used within 7 days from the date of purchase. Not transferable. Expiry date cannot be extended. 
    17.1 Unlimited class and gym access for 7 days = $79 AUD
    17.2 Unlimited gym access for 7 days = $39 AUD
    
    

 

 

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates can be purchased from Chocolate Box Training and can be used towards HOT Recovery, Chocolate Box Training membership or retail purchases in-store or online. The following terms and conditions apply:

1. Vouchers can be purchased at Reception or from our online store. 
2. Valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. 
3. Voucher must be present at time of redemption. 
4. Non - transferable.
   
   
   

SPRING 2024 BROOKIE BOX NEW MEMBER PROMOTION

The following Terms & Conditions apply: 

 

1. Offer valid to new members who are local residents or workers 18 years & older only (photo ID required). 
2. Offer not valid to returning members who have held an active membership within the last twelve months. 
3. Not valid in conjunction with any other offers. 
4. Not redeemable for cash. 
5. Not transferable. 
6. Promotion commences October 7th 2024 and ends 30th November 2024. 
7. Offer valid for new members who join on an Unlimited Membership - Brookie $69/week. 
8. New members agree that upon claiming this offer, they will receive the first 4 weeks of training for free, and will become financial members beyond this point, adhering to the membership agreement outlined in Chocolate Box Training’s Terms & Conditions.
9. New members agree to receive a $150 voucher to spend in the Chocolate Box Training store. This is not redeemable for cash and cannot be transferred. The entirety of the amount must be used in one transaction, and can be done either in-store (at either Brookvale or Cromer) or through the online store. 

 

Mechanics of membership confirmation:

 

1. Register your membership interest via the official online enquiry form.
2. Download the Chocolate Box Training App from your favourite App Store. Create an account, complete your profile and sign the waiver. 
3. Purchase the $7 for 7 days trial and book your first class OR wait to receive a call from a member of the team. 

1. Please note, new members agree, that upon claiming this offer they adhere to Chocolate Box Training's Membership Terms and Conditions. This includes a commitment to 26 weeks of financial membership as outlined in the minimum term agreement.
